what we do

Street Fit Scotland is a Health, Fitness and well being programme for the socially disadvantaged.
It delivers a holistic health, fitness and well-being programme for people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping,on temporary accommodation or bed and breakfast.
Our programme aims to reduce social isolation,improve mental health as well as address long term physical health needs
It includes Health and Well-being workshops that are around suicide prevention, peer support, health diet and Nutrition, sexual health and safe practice.

how we do it

We deliver comprehensive fitness classes which involve Boxercise Circuits,indoor and outdoor classes keeping the participant focused on the positive side of life while getting Fitter and Healthier.
It’s tough going but fun and it promotes team work.
The fitness classes are run by personal trainers in local gyms ,community centre and outdoor.

what's next

In the near future there will also more workshops on Self-confidence and raising self-esteem,Naloxone training and first aid.
The participant will learn to work as part of a team in a supportive environment that aims to raise their aspirations.
There is also opportunities for the participants to inspire others by becoming peer mentors .
The Street Fit Scotland programme will provide peer mentoring training to the identified peer mentors who are on the programme.
